AWANA
meets each Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:00 to
8:00 p.m.
AWANA is a non-denominational ministry that assists
churches in reaching children and teenagers with the Gospel of Jesus
Christ and training them to serve Him. A national
organization, AWANA supplies programs, materials, and training
materials for more than 12,000 churches in over 110 countries.

AWANA is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.
For over 20 years, our AWANA club has been under the leadership of
Jerry Green, an administrator with the Buncombe County School
system. This year, Jerry will be stepping down, and we are looking
forward to another great AWANA year, with John and
Birdie Williams coming in to be our new commanders.
AWANA is a vital part of our ministry here at Grassy Branch, and we
offer classes each Wednesday night for all age groups
from age 3 to
18.
AWANA meets each Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Keep
in mind that our AWANA schedule coincides with the school year
calendar, so if there is a school holiday or a snow day on a
particular Wednesday, AWANA will not meet that evening. Below
is a list of classes offered in AWANA:
Cubbies - ages 3 and 4
Sparks - Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2
Truthtrackers I - Grades 3 and 4
Truthtrackers II - Grades 5 and 6
Junior Varsity - Grades 7 and 8
Varsity - Grades 9 - 12
